Smug Fig | Stanley Street, Woolloongabba.
I have had the pleasure of popping into The Smug Fig for Brunch, on a number of occasions now, and it doesn't disappoint! its been a real treat! From the moment you walk in, the guys give you a friendly smile and say 'take a seat' and 'Ill bring you some water for the table'. My friends and I have been known to sit in the greenhouse like café, for a number of hours - and funnily enough still haven't worked out how to fix the worlds problems (or ours for that matter) . . .
I had the Pork Benedict which was delicious! The pickled fennel went beautifully with the pork and the dill holindaise had the right amount of acidity to cut the richness. If your planning on not eating for the rest of the day, get this dish! I was substancially full afterwards.
The Coffee is great too, and all from the bright blue shipping container that is practically their trademark!
